Forum 900 XJ et variantes

Do you own a Yamaha XJ and you also have heard about the interesting story from the first XJ relay, which started in 1999 and ended in 2005 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa . You can find more information and the full story on the website www.xjrelay.com. The idea behind this XJ relay was to create a link between the virtual world to the real world and to get in contact with other XJ fellows.

When I have heard about this project I was very interested, but I never had had the possibility to participate. Because I expect, that there are other XJ driver there, who would also be interested in a new edition of the XJ relay, I am looking for other XJ owners from all over Europe, to plan a second Europe wide edition of the famous XJ relay. I think that it should be possible to involve XJ drivers from all the 25 member countries of the European union to this project in 2006. But also drivers from non European countries are more than welcome too. My idea is to send also a backpack to all the capital cities in Europe during the next year. The minimum distance to connect all the European capital cities is approximately between 15.000 and 20.000 kilometers and the distance between the north and the south of Europe is more than 5000 kilometers.

But there are also a couple of questions. Would it be possible to get as much drivers together that the backpack is every day delivered from one fellow to the other? Would it be possible to cover every European country? If you are also interested in the answer to this questions, it would be absolutely great to join into the community of relay drivers for the European edition of the XJ relay 2006.

Hi Wolf,

It's a good idea, you have my support. But realy, you're right, that will be difficult to organize. Maybe with our Deutch and French group, but i think it will more diffcult to find a XJ owner in the Baltic's republic (for exemple).

Bon, apparement notre ami Wolf a entendu parler d'un relais aux US, ou des motards possedant des XJ, ont traversé les states, en fait il propose de le transposer en Europe, en fin aux 25 pays membres, mais il dit que les motards des autres pays Europeens sont les bienvenue.
Le but est de traverser les Pays de capitale en capitale avec un relais, chaque motard le passant de l'un à l'autre.
Par exemple, un motard part de Berlin avec le relais et celui-ci est pris par Héléne qui l'apporte à Paris ou Balman le porte à JB qui lui même l'apporte un motard Italien à Rome etc...
Voilà en gros ce que j'ai compris, le plus dur va être de trouver des propriétaires de XJ dans les autres pays...

c une idee qui est plutot simpa comme ca et pas forcement imposible
la dificulte en effet est de trouver un xjiste a l'etranger mais ca permet de noue des lien a travers le monde autour d'une meme passion

Oui, je suis d'accord avec toi d'ailleur ma réponse à Wolf va dans ce sens. L'idée est sympa et Wolf se donne l'année 2006 pour faire le tour des pays Européens.

Ben je ne dirai qu une seule chose, ya ka, pour le reste il est vrai que ce passage de flambeau est une tres bonne idee!!!!!

Interessant comme idée... bien que je ne connaisse aucun Xjiste jors de France, hormis nos amis Belges de ce forum... mais c'est déjà une étape !
Va falloir bien retaper la belle si je veux faire quelques distances.... surtout Berlin Paris... ça commence à faire une trotte !
